AHX475S: New face milling cutter for high feed face milling
After the success of the original AHX640 series, plus the AHX440 type designed with smaller inserts for use on compact and lower power machines, it was an easy decision to develop a new style of cutter for high feed face millling of steels, cast iron and harder materials. The new cutter body of the AHX475S lends itself to higher feeds due to the 75° approach angle geometry.
iMX - Series Expansion - New grades and ball nose geometries
The iMX series has recently been expanded with 2 new types of ball nose head and 2 new carbide grades, EP8110 and EP8120. These new grades are designed specifically for hardened steel applications and have a new multi layer coating that has increased adhesion to the substrate. The 2 new head geometries iMX-B3FV and iMX-B2S are ball nose types with 3, and 2 flute types respectively.
VQ, the top of the range series of end mills from Mitsubishi Materials has recently been expanded to include 2 new types. These latest additions include a square corner and a corner radius type in diameters 10 - 20mm. The main feature of these new types are the multiple internal through coolant holes.
MPS1 drills have been designed with the aim of double performance - use the very highest cutting parameters or obtain extra long tool life. This has been achieved by combining the best of proven existing features together with the very latest state of the art technology.
MVX Drill: New chipbreakers and grade for hardened steels and aluminium
Smart thinking has led to simple solutions for some old problems associated with indexable insert drilling. Difficulties such as chip clogging on deep holes, dissimilar rates of wear on inner and outer inserts due to differing peripheral speeds, plus flexing and wear of the drill body itself have all been resolved with a new and innovative design.
